Remote Encounter
"On an isolated property, a farmer comes across the last thing he wants to see - a superhero."
Remote Encounter was made for the 2022 48 Hour Film Project, where we were allocated the Superhero genre. We filmed on a farm near Victor Harbour, so aimed to make use of the beautiful property we had at our disposal.
Superhero was a tough genre to tackle in 48 hours, but it was fun to explore a type of film I wouldn't have made otherwise.
We initially won Best VFX and Runner-Up Best Writing at the 48 Hour Film Awards. It went on to be selected in the 2023 Fleurieu Film Festival, Cyprus Comic Con Film Festival, and Launch Film Festival.
